THE PARISH COUNCIL advises the pastor on issues and concerns of the parish as a whole, establishes goals and directions for the community, and is responsible for major decisions with regard to church buildings and property. The Council also approves of any changes or new directions in the religious education and sacramental preparation programs, of the relationship of the school to the broader parish community, and oversees, in general terms, the various ministries of the parish. All parishioners are welcome and encouraged to attend our meetings. Additionally you may contact any of our board members with questions or concerns. This is your parish. Take the time to become familiar with how it is run!
The Pastor is a non-voting Board Member. The School Principal and the Director of Religious Education are ex-officio members with full voting rights.
All other members are elected by the congregation for three years terms beginning in June. Terms are staggered and members may be re-elected.
The Parish Council meets five times annually, every other month, as well as attends the annual Parish Meeting as a body.
