THE FINANCE COMMITTEE oversees all parish accounts, authorizes all major expenditures, and accepts the recommendations of the Facilities Committee for physical plant improvements, which it may approve or disapprove. They establish the salary and benefits of all lay employees. The Finance Committee must approve the school busget presented by the Business Adminstrator of St. Anthony Elementary School, which includes tuition, salaries and parish school subsidy. They establish the parish budget, which is presented to to congregation at all Masses on a weekend in September. (Our Fiscal Year runs September 1 to August 31.)
The School Business Administrator and the Parish Bookkeeper are ex-officio members of the Finance Committee with full voting rights. The Pastor is also an ex-officio member, but does not vote. All other members are chosen by invitation by the Finance Committee.
The Finance Committee meets five times bi-monthly during the year and attends the Parish Annual Meeting as a body.
